Chinatrust Commercial Bank has undertaken a major upgrade of its risk management systems in preparation for further overseas expansion, aimed at diversifying its earnings base, reducing its concentration risks and moving the bank toward its ultimate goal of becoming an A-rated global bank. In the past 12 months, Chinatrust has focused on expanding its business it in both North America and southeast Asia, receiving a branch licence in Singapore and widening the scope of business in its Jakarta
