Lau Wee Yeap is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Malaya, and previously served as Deputy Dean (Postgraduate) of the Faculty of Economics and Administration (2020-21). He is Elected Member of the International Statistical Institute, ISBIS Council Member and Associate Research Fellow of the Malaysian Institute of Economic Research (MIER), and was a MEXT Scholar at Osaka University and Visiting Scholar at the Risk Management Institute, National University of Singapore. He received his PhD and Master in Economics from Osaka University and attended an Executive Education program at Bendheim Center for Finance, Princeton University. He specializes in the economics of finance and investment.
