Ramon S. Vilarins

Ramon Vilarins is an inspector at the Central Bank of Brazil Supervision Department. He joined the institution in 2002 and has been working in different areas since then. He holds a Master of Economics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and a PhD in Finance from the Fundacao Getulio Vargas (FGV-EAESP).

This paper analyzes the competitive effects of government bailout expectations on bank risk using a sample of banks in OECD countries from 2005 to 2015.
