Paulo Viegas de Carvalho is an Assistant Professor of Finance at ISCTE Business School and at ISCAL - Lisbon Accounting and Business School, where he teaches and coordinates several courses in finance, including Market Risk, Credit Risk, Financial Risk Management, Corporate Finance and Financial Markets. He also conducts regular courses to executives from several entities, comprising central banks, banks, corporates, and governments. His current research interests include financial markets, financial risk management, banking regulatory issues, sustainable finance, and financial risk models. His work has been published in top tier journals and he has peer-reviewed papers for high-impact journals. He developed empirical models to predict companies’ viability, delinquency, and business failure and he holds a PhD in Finance from ISCTE Business School.
