Ole Jess Olsen is Professor Emeritus at Energy Economics and Regulation at DTU Management Engineering in Denmark. He has long experience from energy research focusing on market development and regulation of network utilities. Much of this work has been into a Nordic context. He worked many years with practical regulation as a member of the Danish Competition Appeal Tribunal and the Danish Energy Board of Appeal. Present research activities are mainly about the challenges of increasing amounts of variable renewable energy for the energy system.
