Iakovos Michailidis
Dr. Iakovos Michailidis graduated from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Polytechnic School, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in November 2010. He received his PhD Diploma from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Polytechnic School in Democritus University of Thrace in June 2016. He received an MSc degree from the University of Macedonia Thessaloniki on Management and Business Administration in November 2019. His main research interests during his post-graduate studies have been related to Optimal & Adaptive Control in Large-Scale Sensor Networks. He is currently conducting research in the area of Optimal Control and Approximate Dynamic Programming on Smart Grid and Energy Efficient Building Climate Management applications. He has also been involved in the development of Model-Free Adaptive Optimization solutions for Adaptive Cycle Regulation applications in Intelligent Traffic Management; Distributed Optimized Control of heterogeneous groups of autonomously coordinated IoT where emergent response situations occur.
Moreover, his most recent research interests expand to deep learning techniques for reinforced non-episodic learning, predictive assessment modelling and distributed supervised learning of deep neural architectures.
