Alessio Ruggieri is a Senior Expert in the Money and Financial Markets Division of the Markets and Payment Systems Oversight at the Bank of Italy. His primary focus is on government bond cash, repo, and futures markets. Before joining Market Supervision, Alessio worked in the Market Operations Department at the Bank of Italy and at the Insurance Supervisory Authority (IVASS). Alessio holds a master’s degree in finance and was a PhD candidate in economics at La Sapienza University of Rome, where he also taught financial subjects.
