Richard Meredith is a member of the Centre for Research on Employment and Work at the University of Greenwich and DWP External Research Committee. His research interest is employers’ motives for recruiting the long-term unemployed, particularly in the case of the UK. He has 24 years of public sector experience (including the UK Public Employment Service) and 17 years of industry experience in employer intermediary services (including Business Link and Train to Gain).
