Bin Chang

Dr. Bin Chang is an associate professor of Finance at Ontario Tech University. She studies corporate payout policy, target-date funds, consumer behavior, and climate change. She has published in the Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Risk, Journal of Financial Research and others. She was a recipient of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada Research Grant (SSHRC). Prior to joining Ontario Tech University, she was a risk analyst at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, an instructor at the University of Toronto, and a foreign exchange trader at the Bank of China.

The authors return to the topic of their 2011 paper and investigate the maturation of target-date funds and their performance during the Covid-19 pandemic, finding that the funds have largely achieved their designation.
