Dr. Ahlem Harrouch-Trabelsi took her PhD in Economics with a specialization in International and Development Economics, from the University of Panthéon-Assas in France. After teaching in France, mainly at the University of Lille II, she joined the University of Sorbonne Abu Dhabi.
Her first research focused on the economic policies in developing countries and more particularly on the credibility of disinflation policies under a nominal exchange rate anchor. More recently, she has focused on the role of sovereign wealth funds in dampening the effect of oil market volatilities on real economic growth in oil-exporting countries.
