Phd. Rubén Lado Sestayo graduated in Economics and Business Administration and mastered in Economics: Industrial Organization and Financial Markets. He acquired his Ph.D. with the thesis "Economic and Financial Impact of Location on the Spanish Hotel Sector". Currently he is adjunct professor at University of A Coruña and he is working as Innovation Manager at Fundación Ramón Dóminguez (ITEMAS-Nodo Galicia, R+D Biomedical). His research is focused on the study of spatial issues of tourism sector, with interest in profitability, entry barriers, survival and failure determinants. In his research activity he counts 63 publications: 12 articles in indexed scientific journals, 5 books, 13 book chapters, 2 book review, 33 scientific contributions of papers at conferences, 1 report and 3 press collaborations; 8 research projects and contracts; 1 software, reviewer in 1 scientific conference, member of organizing committee in 2 international conferences, reviewer in 2 JCR journal and 1 international research internship.

The impact of loan-to-value on the default rate of residential mortgage-backed securities
This paper analyzes the validity of using the loan-to-value (LTV) ratio to explain the behavior of mortgage borrowers at an empirical level.
