Equity strategy launches were strong throughout the period from the mid-1980s to 2007. However, the recent past has been characterised by high turnover within the industry and low to negative net additions for the group. The financial year 2013 marked the best year in net launches for both long/short equity and market neutral equity strategies since before the financial crisis.
