Fund of hedge funds managers are looking to US long/short as they position their portfolios for improving global economic conditions, according to the latest monthly survey of their opinions by Hedge Funds Review.

Managers are increasing their weightings in US long/short amid signs recovery there will prove fast and sustained. Merger arbitrage is an improving strategy and due to get stronger as corporate activity increases, according to the survey, and managers also expect equity market-neutral
