Clear run for China spurs hopes for global macro

Continued growth in China and the return of trends bodes well for commodities and global macro

Fund of hedge fund managers foresee an emergence of strong trends and continuing emerging market strength, according to the latest survey of managers by Hedge Funds Review.

Gary Smith, head of alternative investments at ABN Amro in London, has high hopes for macro-orientated strategies over the next one to two years, as strong trends in the global financial markets persist.
