Multiplicity of legal risks confront embattled hedge funds industry

A variety of areas have been highlighted as potential legal risks in the hedge funds industry. Stephen Quigley and Jamie Wynn-Williams talk to a wide range of legal, fund administrator and consulting experts about what they see as the major concerns of the industry.

There are a myriad legal risks that face any hedge fund. These range from a variety of concerns that are within the power of an investment management company to control to outside influences that are hard to second-guess, such as government regulation. What is clear is that the industry is confronting several areas where legal risks are clearly a growing concern.
