Cheekily perhaps, the strapline for Stratton Street’s New Capital Wealthy Nations Bond Fund has been borrowed from Winston Churchill’s observation following the successful outcome of the Battle of Britain: “Never was so much owed by so many to so few.” Irreverent as its transposition might be, it is of course, an entirely apposite summation of the state of the world economy as 2011 ended.
