Nick England, founder and director of Channel Islands Alternatives (CIA) is one of the newest entrants to the FoHF world in the Channel Islands.

Based in Guernsey, England returned home in 2005 after a career trading derivatives on the London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (LIFFE). Lifestyle choices and personal connections were behind his decision to set up on the island.

England believes his insider knowledge of the technicalities of trading complex and esoteric instruments, combined with the network of people, many of whom are now single fund managers, forms the basis of his selection of managers for The Hurdle
