Macro economics makes going tough for managers

Several strategies have proved less than lucrative as troubled times leave markets without direction

Uncertainty about world events, including the possibility of terrorist attacks, the price of oil and economic conditions have contributed to a difficult period for hedge funds according to Hedge Fund Review's monthly survey of funds of hedge funds managers.

However, there may be an upcoming equity market rally that will provide opportunities and increasing market clarity next year may make life easier.
