Bermuda offers wide selection of authorised fund structures

The Investment Funds Act of 2006, which came into effect in March 2007, includes provisions for the regulation and supervision of investment funds, formerly known as collective investment schemes, and regulating fund administrators.

BMA's Dargie says the act now "has new classifications for funds that better reflect the products sold in today's marketplace. The ease of implementation of the new regime can be attributed to the consultation process which is a cornerstone of the authority's
