The energy risk management industry has seen its share of ups and downs during the past 20 years. During those two decades, Energy Risk has been a witness to many of the sector's triumphs and disasters, and has also shared in them. From the runaway popularity of power markets in the late 1990s to abortive attempts to launch internet bandwidth trading – "the next big commodity market", according to an issue of the magazine from July 2000 – the fortunes of this publication have been closely tied
