EC outlines changes to CRD

The European Commission (EC) has launched a public consultation on more than 50 technical changes to the Capital Requirements Directive (CRD).

The changes are designed to address issues around large exposures, hybrid capital, supervisory arrangements and waivers for co-operative banks organised in networks, and to make adjustments to technical provisions.

Interested parties have until June 16 to provide responses, which the EC will use as guidance before formally implementing its proposals in September.
