The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has appointed Diane Blizzard as associate director for regulatory policy and investment adviser regulation in the division of investment management.

Blizzard replaces Robert Plaze, who has been promoted to deputy director of the division, and will report to division director Eileen Rominger. She will be responsible for supervising the two offices that develop recommendations for rule-making and other policy work under the Investment Company Act and
