Senior management shake-up at SG

Société Générale made several senior appointments today as part of a reshuffle of its senior management.

Jean-Pierre Mustier, previously chief executive of Société Générale Corporate and Investment Banking (SG CIB), has been appointed head of global investment management and services, and will replace Alain Clot as chairman and chief executive of the bank’s asset management business. Clot will remain at the bank, but his new position is yet to be announced.

Michel Péretié will succeed Mustier as chief executive of SG CIB. Péretié joined the Paris-based bank on June 1 from Bear Stearns, where he had been a member of the board.

Mustier will replace Philippe Collas as head of global investment management and services - Collas will assume the newly created position of senior adviser to Frédéric Oudea, group chief executive.

Francoise Mercadal-Delasalles, formerly assistant to the secretary-general of the French government savings bank Caisse des Dépôts, will join in a newly created role as head of operating efficiency and innovation, working alongside deputy chief executive officer Séverin Cabannes.
